Raise the barrel
2–3 ft off the ground gives enough pressure for low-flow drip lines.

Filter
Put a screen at the outlet so debris doesn't clog emitters.

Lay lines
Run tubing along beds, punch emitters near each plant's base.

Mulch heavily
3–4 in. of straw or leaves cuts water loss by half.

Water at dawn
Less evaporation, healthier plants.
